Papers describing only specialized methods are not acceptable unless they contain meaningful results obtained with the methods. 2. The journal will publish only new material. Submission of a paper will be taken to imply that it reports unpublished work and that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Furthermore, such submission will also be taken to imply that, if the paper is published, hybridomas, cell lines, gene clones, rDNA constructs, etc., used in the studies described therein will be made available to interested investigators for their use only in their own research. There is no absolute restriction on length. REGULAR PROCEDURE OF MANUSCRIPTS SUBMISSION 1. The paper will be reviewed first by the Chief Editor/Executive Editor. When the Chief Editor/Executive Editor considers that the paper has neither outstanding quality nor the need of urgent publication, the paper will be immediately returned to the author(s) as inappropriate without any external reviewer’s comments. When the paper is considered to be a potential Fast Track paper, the paper will be sent to two external reviewers, and the Chief Editor/Executive Editor will make the final decision and notify the acceptance or rejection of the paper within one month. A rejected Fast Track paper may be re-submitted as a regular article.
7. There are 2 types of urgent publication contribution rates:
REVIEWING PROCESS It is the policy of the journal to represent the whole life science community. The reviewing system is devised for rapid reaction by means of the large number of Reviewers, whilst preventing the dominance of a few major institutions by ensuring that no paper is accepted which has not been looked at by at least one referee from another centre. The paper will be read by two external specialists, and the Editor will ask authors for revision, if necessary. The Chief Editor/Executive Editor will finally decide and notify the acceptance or rejection of the paper upon recommendation by the reviewer/specialist. |
